Mitra Gambut merupakan wadah atau platform daring berbasis android
yang menyediakan akses bagi publik, khususnya masyarakat/warga desa yang berada
di dalam kawasan gambut serta jejaring masyarakat sipil di daerah dalam berbagi informasi dan pengetahuan
terkait dengan pengelolaan lahan gambut berkelanjutan, baik dalam bentuk cerita inspiratif,
pengetahuan lokal maupun distribusi/diseminasi informasi terkini dari tapak (Desa Gambut).
Platform Mitra Gambut juga memberikan kesempatan bagi keterlibatan warga/ publik dalam
pemantauan program/kegiatan restorasi gambut sehingga sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip
PADIATAPA melalui konsep pemantauan kolaboratif bersama jejaring masyarakat sipil di daerah.
Melalui sistem pengelolaan informasi Mitra Gambut, diharapkan akan terjadi pertukaran informasi aktual & terkini
dari tapak serta interaksi antara warga dan pengambil kebijakan dalam mendorong pengelolaan lahan gambut yang berkelanjutan.
Prinsip-prinsip utama yang mendasari penggunaan platform Mitra Gambut adalah partisipasi publik, keterbukaan informasi, kolaborasi, serta citizen journalism.
